The Next Chapter for Ventura Unified Begins Today

March 17, 2026

I am proud to announce that I have formally filed my Candidate Intention Statement (Form 501) to run for Ventura Unified School District Trustee, Area 4.

While this filing is a routine legal step, it marks the beginning of a consequential governance transition for our district.

Why This Moment Matters

Ventura Unified faces structural fiscal pressures, enrollment shifts, and complex policy decisions that will require experienced coalition-building, disciplined oversight, and the ability to work effectively across local and state leadership channels.

Over the past several months, I have been in active conversation with educators, labor leaders, public officials, and community stakeholders throughout Ventura County regarding the path forward for our schools. This filing reflects a shared recognition that the coming term will demand focused leadership prepared to act with both urgency and long-range vision.

Not About Positioning

The work ahead is not about political positioning. It is about stabilizing an institution that thousands of families rely on every day.

I look forward to continuing these conversations in the weeks ahead as we build the broad, solutions-oriented coalition necessary to guide Ventura Unified through its next chapter.

And I invite you to join the campaign to build a better, stronger Ventura Unified.
