This weekend, I had the opportunity to advocate for Ventura at the highest level of education in our state.
On Saturday afternoon, in a conversation with California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond, we talked about the reality facing Ventura Unified: school closures, financial stability, teacher retention, and the need for real solutions that serve our entire community.
And at the end of that conversation, I asked for his support.
I am proud to share that Tony Thurmond has endorsed my campaign for Ventura Unified School District’s Board of Education for the Trustee position in Area 4.
This Moment Is Not About Me
But this moment is not about me.
It is about what this represents.
A bridge between Ventura and Sacramento. A bridge for our teachers who are struggling. A bridge for our students navigating uncertainty. And a bridge for parents who are demanding more, and deserve to be heard.
Building Trust, One Conversation at a Time
This campaign has always been about showing up, doing the work, and building trust, one conversation at a time.
And this is just one of many bridges I am building for our community.
Follow along and be part of what we are building together. Because we need good people that care about public education to stand with us side by side.
Thank you to Dr. Karen Sher for making this all possible. I could not have done this without you, your support, and your belief in my vision.
