Stewardship Matters: Joining the Taxpayers and Business Alliance as CFO

July 27, 2026

I am excited to share that I have accepted an appointment as Chief Financial Officer for the Taxpayers and Small Business Alliance of Ventura County.

Why This Work Matters

Professionally, I bring more than 15 years of experience in banking and financial services, including work in audit, internal controls, operations, and business lending. As a small business owner myself, I have always appreciated the importance of sound financial management, strong internal controls, and responsible stewardship.

Those are not abstract principles. They are the difference between an organization that serves its mission and one that drifts from it.

What Financial Oversight Actually Means

Financial oversight is not about saying no. It is about making sure every dollar does the work it was promised to do.

It means asking the hard questions before the crisis, not after. It means building systems that catch problems early, protect the people the organization serves, and keep public and member trust intact.

That is the same standard I believe our school district deserves. Ventura Unified manages a budget that touches every student, every classroom, and every family in this community. The same discipline I bring to financial institutions and small businesses is the discipline I will bring to the board.

Building the Foundation

I look forward to applying that experience in my new role and working alongside the organization’s leadership team as we build the operational and financial foundation for the future.

Strong institutions are not built on good intentions. They are built on good books.
