I am proud to announce the Oxnard Federation of Teachers and School Employees, OFTSE Local 1273, has endorsed my campaign for VUSD Trustee Area 4.
Something Bigger Taking Shape
And to some, this may look like another endorsement graphic. But to me, it represents something much bigger taking shape across west Ventura County.
One by one, labor unions representing teachers and school employees are standing side by side with me and this campaign.
These are the educators who lead our classrooms and the school employees who feed students, maintain campuses, support children with disabilities, manage offices, transport students, and hold entire school communities together. They are frontline workers doing some of the most important work in our communities.
Why This One Is Different
This endorsement is especially meaningful because OFTSE represents workers beyond the district I am running to serve. Public education does not stop at a city line, and neither does solidarity.
Trust to Earn, Not Trophies to Collect
I do not view union endorsements as trophies to collect. I view them as trust I must continually earn and a responsibility I must live up to.
When elected, I will be a champion for organized labor and the rights of our frontline workers: fair compensation, safe working conditions, sustainable workloads, meaningful collective bargaining, and a real voice in decisions affecting their schools and livelihoods.
Our students thrive when the people serving them are respected, supported, and able to build stable lives in the communities where they work.
Thank you, OFTSE Local 1273, for placing your trust in me. I am honored to stand with you, and deeply grateful that you are standing with us.
