I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the Women’s Democratic Club of Ventura County, the first organizational endorsement of my political career.
What This One Means
As a transgender woman, there is something especially meaningful about a women’s organization being the first to place its trust in me. It feels like beautiful political poetry: women recognizing another woman’s leadership, her lived experience, and her commitment to public education.
My sincere thanks to President Eileen Reimers and every member who participated in this thoughtful process, listened to both candidates, asked important questions, and gave us the opportunity to earn their support.
