There is nowhere I would have rather been than shoulder to shoulder with the people who show up for Ventura’s students every single day.
Our educators and support professionals are the front line of public education. They know what our classrooms need, what our students are experiencing and what it takes to keep our schools strong. Spending this evening surrounded by their energy, encouragement and commitment reminded me exactly why I am running.
More Than a Logo
I am deeply grateful to CTA and VUEA/VESPA for your trust, your support and the incredible organizing power you are bringing to this campaign. An endorsement is more than a logo. It represents educators and school employees believing that I will listen, collaborate and fight for the people who make our schools work.
Thank you to Bellringer Brew Co for welcoming us and giving everyone such a fun place to connect, celebrate and build community.
Bigger Than a Campaign Event
It felt especially meaningful to share the evening with Trustee Area 5 candidate Andrew LaFave and VUSD Board President James Forsythe. Andrew, James and I are all incredibly proud to be CTA/VUEA-endorsed candidates, and being together in a room filled with educators cheering us on made the night feel bigger than any campaign event. It felt like community.
To every educator who offered a hug, shared a story, introduced me to a colleague or told me you are supporting this campaign: thank you. I felt every bit of that love, and I am carrying it with me all the way to November.
Our schools are strongest when the people closest to our students have a real voice. I am honored to stand with you.
